Over 55s rowing

It’s not always possible for you to row evenings and weekends, we get that. Perhaps you are a bit older, or retired and with more time on your hands. Perhaps you work shifts which mean that you’re free when many others aren’t. Get in touch if you’d like to join the Over 55s (and shift workers) rows with Weston Gig Club. They often run during the week, at times when most folk are at work. This program tends to run for six rows, after which you’re welcome to join the club proper.

Read the club’s general FAQ here, and get in touch if coming along to join some over 55s rows is appealing. You can also become part of the club on a non-rowing basis. You might just love the sea, be a dab hand with sandpaper and a paintbrush, or love the idea of helping out at events, socials, and regattas. You might even have a sturdy vehicle with a tow bar and be happy to tow the gig around for regattas and races.

Whatever your interest, if you’re drawn towards the thought of rowing, being part of a friendly and social sports club in Weston, and enjoying the mental health and wellbeing benefits of being near (and indeed on!) the sea, just get in touch. See you on the water soon.
