New members ahoy

Two new members joined us for their second row today, and had a great time despite the promised coldness and rain, which didn’t really materialise as is often the case. The ‘new two’ got off to a flying start and we can’t wait to welcome other new members to the club to join in the beach-side action this spring and summer (think barbecues, socials, campfires, regattas and more).

They both got stuck in helping us get the kit from its storage to the boat, and fared well as we rowed up and down the river Axe and then on out to sea, before heading back in for a change of crew. Everyone then finished up back on the pontoon as we put the boat back on its mooring before hitting Weston Bay Yacht Club’s Clubhouse for a well-earned cuppa.
